Why is it free?
openAddress is an independent, Australian-founded platform that’s run simply and at low cost. There are no listing fees, subscription fees or commissions charged by the platform.
What’s included?
Your own listing page with up to 15 photos, a map, a place in search and a link you can share, plus buyer enquiries sent to your email. The platform charges no fees for any of this. It doesn’t include services such as photography, a sales agent or marketing campaigns.
Should my real estate agent charge marketing fees?
Not for advertising on openAddress, because listing here costs nothing. If an agent charges for photography, that can be a genuine cost, but you shouldn’t be asked to pay thousands of dollars in marketing fees to advertise your home here. Ask any agent to itemise their fees, and check your agency agreement before you sign.
Will my listing appear on other websites?
No. Your listing appears on openAddress only. You’re welcome to share its link anywhere you like.
Who can list, and do I need an account?
Property owners and authorised agents can list residential property for sale in Australia. There’s no account to create. We may contact you to confirm you’re authorised to advertise the property.
How long until my listing goes live?
We review every submission before it’s published, and we aim to do that within 24 hours. We may contact you first to confirm you’re authorised to advertise the property.
Is my contact information public?
Your email address and phone number are never shown publicly. Buyers send enquiries through the listing, and we forward them to you. Your name and agency, if any, appear on the listing.
How do I update or remove a listing?
Use our contact form. We’ll verify it’s you and make the change.
